Universal Fan Coil Controller (TC28A01KNX) is an Eelectron product for KNX-based building automation. The controller is an EIB/KNX Secure DIN-rail actuator intended for fan-coil and hydronic climate-control applications. It combines three freely configurable 0–10 V analogue outputs with five 16 A relay outputs. Typical uses include proportional valve control through two analogue outputs and fan-speed control through the third analogue output or relay contacts. The relays can also switch other compatible loads when they are not assigned to HVAC functions. Two configurable inputs accept dry contacts or NTC temperature probes, and the first input can alternatively support a compatible plug-in environmental sensor.

It integrates two two-stage thermostats with PI control for heating, cooling, valves, six-way valves and two-/four-pipe fan coils. Eight logic blocks support logical, threshold and conditional expressions, as well as temperature/humidity algorithms and dew-point calculation. The compensation-curve function adjusts heating supply temperature according to external conditions, while Virtual Holder Logic supports hotel-room occupancy management using door and presence information. The unit is KNX Data Secure capable, bus-powered, designed for DIN-rail distribution boards and rated IP20. Relay group limits and connected-load inrush must be observed; the individual 16 A contact rating does not override the aggregate limits.
